Established in 1938, Little Rock is a third generation farm located in Kentucky, which grows and produces food for consumption, including produce, fruits, poultry, eggs, honey, bakery goods, canned goods, jellies, jams, pork and beef. Many of the items are organically grown in their hothouses and greenhouses, the beef is grass fed with no hormones or antibiotics, the fresh baked goods are prepared daily in their kitchen, and the deliciously sweet honey is harvested from the numerous hives in their bee colony.
Says Cincinnati Sports Club club manager Julie Goodchild, “Cincinnati Sports Club is all about providing the best combination of health, wellness and social experiences for our members, and we are continually striving to improve by implementing innovative new features and services to help us achieve that mission. This unique and unusual partnership certainly helps us achieve that mission, with the added factor of convenience, as members can purchase these fresh and healthy foods immediately after their workout, without having the hassle of stopping at the store on their way home or fighting parking and traffic.”
She continues, “Our members and their guests are now able purchase some of the freshest locally produced food items twice a week from June-October. This is a mutually beneficial situation, as we are helping out the local farmers by providing an outdoor venue for them to meet and sell their produce to the community. The Cincinnati Sports Club’s Market Café Chef will also utilize the fresh produce in his daily culinary creations.”
Little Rock Farm also provides a pre-ordering service for the convenience of the Cincinnati Sports Club customers, which has proven to be extremely popular.
The Farmer’s Market is in operation from the June – October, and is located at the front entrance of the Cincinnati Sports Club, rain or shine.
